Physics

Physics is the study of the behavior of objects in nature on the most fundamental level. For realism, you should be aware of basic physical laws and how to apply them to your game.

 Speed and Velocity

Velocity is a vector formed by combining speed with a direction.

 Acceleration

Acceleration -- also a vector -- occurs whenever the velocity changes.

 Newton's Law

 Newton's Three Laws of Motion

  1. The velocity of a system will not change unless it experiences a net external force.
  2. The acceleration of an object is inversely proportional to its mass and proportional to the net external force applied.
  3. For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction.
